Job  Safety  Analysis Sheet ,Job Description: Cold cutting , Sequence  Of  Basic Job  Steps: Pre - work, Cold cutting, wind up Work & Housekeeping, Precautions: Ensure the pipeline / equipment to be cold cut is isolated, depressurized,drained, flushed, or purged as required for safe execution of the job. Do not touch the portion being cut. Use Suitable hand gloves (such as Leather. Stop the cold cutting immediately in case of leak / spill from the pipe being cut. Use properly insulated & suitably rated cables & extension wire for powered tools. Ensure proper wind up & housekeeping at worksite. The accessories (tools, cables & sockets / terminals) not being used must be disconnected and stored separately.

JSA-17-PIG RETRIEVAL

Job  Safety  Analysis Sheet ,Job Description: Cold cutting , Sequence  Of  Basic Job  Steps: Pre - work, work, wind up Work & Housekeeping, Precautions: Plan the work involving personnel responsible for preparation (isolation, depressurization, draining, flushing, purging etc.) of the pipeline from which pig is to retrieved. Review Scope of Work & step by step procedure. Obtain the required work permit Conduct Tool Box Talk. Identify the valve to be closed referring P & ID. Ensure the valves are closed fully. Use Lock & Tag Depressurize the pig barrel to safe location. Drain the liquid content to trap / sump / safe location. Confirm the absence of pressure by opening a vent to safe location as well as observe pressure gauges reading. Flush the pig barrel with water for possible presence of Phosphoric deposit. Asses the risk & Override gas detectors in case required. Carry out gas test for safe working area. Confirm isolation valve integrity by slight opening the nearest vent / drain point. Confirm the absence of pressure at least from 2 independent sources (e.g. pressure gauges fixed at different location of pig barrel). Use non sparking tools in hazardous location. Keep Fire Extinguishers & fire hose in ready condition. Purge with nitrogen (if required) to remove toxic content. Use air line unit if required. Use safety goggles & Face Shield. Loosen the bolts / studs slowly. Do not stand in front of pig barrel door while opening it.Ensure the closure of pig barrel door after retrieving the pig. Ensure the closure of all vents & drain valves after closing the pig barrel door.Ensure the normalization of all valves including vent, drain, pressure gauges, gas detectors, liquid trap etc. Ensure proper housekeeping of the area.

JSA-16-PIG LAUNCHING

JSA-15-DE-SPADING

Job  Safety  Analysis Sheet, Job Description: De-spading, Sequence  Of  Basic Job  Steps: Pre – Work, Work, Precautions: Plan The Work Involving Personnel Responsible For Preparation Of  The Pipeline Or Equipment To Be De-spaded. Obtain The Required Work Permit. Conduct Tool Box Talk. Identify the correct flange / joist to be de-spaded. Ensure the identity from P & ID and Spade Record Register.Ensure the upstream & downstream valves are still closed. Asses the risk & Override the gas detectors if required. Carry out gas test for safe working area. Confirm isolation valve integrity by crack opening the nearest vent / drain point. Verify the work area is gas free. Use non sparking tools & brass hammer in hazardous location. Check the work area is free from toxic vapor. Crack open one bolt / stud to confirm no pressure. Use air line unit if required. Use safety goggles. Loosen the bolts / studs slowly.

Use correct type of tools to open & hold the flange. Remove the spade safely. Install compatible rating gasket before tightening the flange. Ensure the flanges are tightened securely. Ensure erection of secured scaffolding at properly leveled ground. Use safety harness. Remove the tag with the spade. Log the details in Spade Record Register.
